Meet Citroen Club of North America Member John McBride
January 24, 2010 by Denis
CCNA member John McBride from Sycamore, Il. sent in this photo of his family and their 1962 Citroen ID19, taken when he was a child. Thanks for sharing, John.

Above is a picture of the 1962 ID19 that my parents owned (my mother is the first person from the left, and I am the third person from the left; 6 years old in 1965). Believe it or not our family of eight used the car for 3-4 hour road trips (thank goodness for the self-leveling suspension!). When France withdrew from the military wing of NATO in 1966, my family moved to the States along with the ID19. We had it until 1968. It is a US-market ID marketed to US personnel in France.
Cordially,
John McBride

John also owns and runs a very nice D Super 5 and has two great sons who enjoy their
Citroen as much as their father did the early ID!
It’s fabulous to have a vintage photo to connect a present day CCNA member with a Citroen from his childhood!
Thank you for sharing, John, and I look forward to meeting you and your mother here in Washington, D.C. this Spring!
