Citroën Mechanic Les Woods is Sharing His Story of "The Heirloom."

A few weeks back Les Woods visited us for dinner in West Virginia. After dinner, he started talking about his DS 19 Grand Route, "The Heirloom." We were fascinated by this story of a boyhood fantasy, a honeymoon car, and after years gone by and a life well lived, finding and rescuing this car of his youth. Well, we just couldn't let this one get away. So after begging and pleading, Les has agreed to share this romantic story with the readers of the Citroënthusiast. Citroën Club of North America Member Kim Walter Teaches Class About Citroëns at Pratt

History of Industrial Design is a class taught annually by Citroën Club of North America member Kim Walter at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. To assist in his session on Auto Design, he commandeered assistance from Robert Monteleone, Gert Larsen and Ronny Kienhuis to bring various cars to the school and show the students some of their features. Robert shares the experience with use in this article and Ronny managed to grab some great photos, even in the rain. Thanks so much for sharing, guys.

Citroën Club of North America Has Annual Meet at Carlisle, PA.

Forty five Citroens made their way to Carlisle, Pennsylvania for the annual Import and Kit Car Nationals the weekend of 15 – 17 May, 2009. A wonderful array of models were present, including D models (ID and DS), SM, CX, XM, 2CV sedans, two 2CV AK 400’s (Truckette model), one Dyane, and no fewer than two H Vans! Pictured are new club president Les Woods, Judith Reiter and Brad Nauss giving out the award for Best A Series to Jorge Tavares. Way to go Jorge and Carmo.
